Happy New Year, all!!
With the holidays behind us, it’s time again to get going full speed ahead for 2012. Personally, I’m trading in the typical new year resolutions like eating less and exercising more for ones that I can truly say are accomplished and checked off. Not that it wouldn’t hurt for me to do those things, of course. But I have to remember that this list will constantly evolve as I add things and work to complete things. For this coming year, I want to LIVE more, LEARN more, GIVE more, and more importantly - STRESS LESS. And I hope that you all will, too.
It may be just me, but it seems that each year goes by faster and faster and I get busier and busier at work and at home. In my schedule, I am thankful that our meetings are carved out at the same time each month so that I already have them marked on my calendar and can set aside that time to attend. I am not saying this just because I am president. But to me, it’s important that we see each other and learn new things from the programming each month. It’s also important that we meet new people as well as grow our existing relationships. I want to work together and give back to our community as I constantly look for ways to grow and improve. And as the years continue to pass we can all work to be better people. I am anxious and excited for what the new year has in store for all of us and I look forward to sharing in our successes and good news.
Lastly, I know I have said this a lot, in fact it's probably in every president’s message, but this organization needs to be about what YOU, the member, needs and what YOU, the member, wants from it. We can only do that if we hear from you, so please send over suggestions for speakers you’d like to see and topics you'd like to hear about. Look forward to seeing you all next Wednesday!!
Sincerely,
